The GameUp Africa Bootcamp kicks off on August 26th and runs through December 6th. Graduation will take place on 13th December
Learn from Anywhere: The GameUp Africa Bootcamp is delivered entirely online, offering you the flexibility to learn at your own pace, regardless of your location.
The GameUp Africa program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to create your dream game. Here’s a breakdown of the phases you’ll go through:
- Phase 1: Learning (10 weeks): This intensive learning phase will provide a solid foundation in your selected discipline. You’ll master key concepts, hone your skills, and gain the knowledge you need to succeed.
- Phase 2: Game Jam (1 week): Put your newfound skills to the test in a 7 day Game Jam. Collaborate with your peers to create a game within a short timeframe. It’s an intense and rewarding experience that will push your creativity and problem-solving abilities.
- Phase 3: Mentorship (5 weeks): Here, you’ll be paired with a seasoned mentor who will offer personalised guidance and support as you refine your game concept and bring it to life.
Please note: Only students who successfully complete the learning phase will proceed to the mentorship phase.
